of a nucleus in decay, particles being freed,
pearls unthreaded from their orbitals, pellets
clinking, hailing, twinkling
on Western asphalt,
TRABANTS in pink, beige, light
green, put-put strollers, baby blue
kiddie cars, jingling, tinkling,
trembling TRABIS, statemobiles, trinkets
of a stylized, fossil class,
tin cans cramming
a fearful, gentle communist bourgeoisie, mineral
residue, mousemobiles
in flight from your murderous pied piper
