On The Road To Erewhon Poem by Michael Pruchnicki

On The Road To Erewhon

Rating: 0.5

I met two ignoramuses
this morning
trudging on their way
to the land beyond the sea

EREWHON was their goal
but they had not clue one
both STRAWMAN
and the POET
gibber on about syndromes
and Edwardian houses
they've never dwelt in

I recommend as remedy
Benet's READER'S
ENCYCLOPEDIA

Where have all the English
teachers gone?
The worst of their pupils
linger on
in babbling confusion!
