On This Memorial Day Poem by Connie Marcum Wong

On This Memorial Day

Rating: 4.0

I visualize a future
peaceful world,
with no soldiers
called to duty -
no graves emerging
from futile wars -
no more mourning
relatives and friends.
Just man meeting man
with the clasping of
their hands in the
bonding of mankind.
