On Valentine's Day Poem by ATUL CHANDRA SARKAR

On Valentine's Day

I don't want the whole chocolate,
Just a piece would do,
To make me realize that you,
Wish to say: I love you.

I don't want a bunch of it,
Just a rose would do,
Its fragrance shall tell me,
That I should love you too.

I don't want a dress or so,
Just a hanky would do.
To wipe off my tear of joy,
Every time I see you.

I don't want a wristwatch,
Only your precious time, dear,
Then whether we say or not,
We'll crave to be intimately near.

I don't want a tight embrace,
A warm hug shall do,
Better than a hundred words,
Is a comforting, cozy woo.

I don't want diamonds,
Neither teddy, ring nor memento,
I only want your love my darling,
An assurance that you'll never go.
