On Your Way Go Poem by Danny Ballan

On Your Way Go

You opened the door;
You were ready to leave.
Here! Take your stuff
Along with all the tears
And down all the blows,
I will hardly ever again
Find the love halls
That lead to the true life.

You want to go-
And so you must.
Our feelings no more grow,
And I no more trust
The days will bring anything at all-
No more springs;
Too long has lasted the fall.
No more dreams;
Too long have I not slept
Trying all the possible schemes
To keep you,
But now I understand
The reason for which I wept-
There's nothing left
For you and for me.
No more shadows,
No more fume.
All the years we burned;
No more left to bloom
To think of my lost youth
And of you as my groom.

You must step out of the door-
Flee like a little bird,
Run away and flee.
Here's a life built on trust,
But your days can only be written
On the crazy pages of false history.
I gave up too much for you,
But time was the most precious.
Leave, and let me ponder on what comes next-
Let me remember what was once true.

Go and I will be gracious,
For with all what you taught me,
I can stand out now and face the world.
No more tricks would ever surprise me;
No more lies would fall off their accord,
And no more men would ruin my life
Neither will they enter unless I choose to.

Goodbye, go, be on your way.
I will not try to keep you,
And I'll never ask you to stay.
Yes, you took my hair black
And turned it now gray,
But I will lead the rest alone
Even if the rest was one day.
