That filled my heart
It moved me like
A singing lark

In deafening silence
Without a spark…

There once was a star
Above my skies
It shone down on me
Like butterflies
It sparkled so bright,
It was my light
But now it'’ s gone
There’ 's but pitch dark

Once you were here
Inside my life
You loved me
I held on you tight
You were my strength
My guiding light
But now you have gone
There’ 's only strife

There once was a song
It filled my heart
A star so bright
That lit up my skies
There once was you

Yet now there’ 's but me
Left in the dark
