Once Again Poem by Morgan Copeland

Once Again

Rating: 5.0

The touch of a lover’s hand
The kiss of a lover’s lips
The movement of his hips
I won’t forget
I can’t forget
He was always there
Ready to catch my blush
Call my bluff
That I didn’t care
His lingering stare
His fingers curl around, and
Around the time I came to
He was waiting
His finger curled, this time beckoning me to his side
His palms glide over my skin
The house, full of quiet commotion
The sounds I couldn’t hold in.
The whimpers, the moans, the groans, the pants
I chant his name
Never different, but never the same
I wanted it
I wanted him.
He kept me
On the brim
Of ecstasy
So, so close
The pulses race
The edge we chase
I wasn’t ready to fall
But he wouldn’t let me anyway
The fires burn between my thighs
The emotion smolders behind dark eyes
I needed to feel it
All he is
was
will be
I needed to see
And when he touches me
I know he see what I am
Unburying the secrets I locked inside
Open those, open those wide
He eats away at all I am
His lips, his teeth, his tongue
Are all it takes to come undone
And there it is
The end of a high I didn’t know I was on
I didn’t know he had hooked
I wouldn’t come back,
I promised myself
Only one time would I touch him
But I was wrapped around his warmth
And he was wrapped up in mine
Neither of us desire to face the cold outside
And so I say, one more time,
never different, never the same
And next time I see him at the bar
maybe,
I’ll get his name.
