Once There Was One I Loved Poem by Elia Michael

Once There Was One I Loved

Rating: 4.5

Once there was one I loved far back in time
When we met my body and mind would freeze
Feelings engendered in me were sublime
And my heart was kissed by love's scented breeze
I breathed you in, I could not get enough
You and I were the only ones alive
Our eyes met, they danced together with love
I knew without you I could not survive

I awoke each new dawn to thoughts of you
I trembled in sweet anticipation
I had deep feelings I could not subdue
A state of bliss, of joy and elation

Alas, we were torn from one another
And I had to live without my lover
