Once Upon A Broken Dream Poem by Jacqueline Louw

Once Upon A Broken Dream

Rating: 5.0

Thoughts still linger about me and you
used to be's and memories
they seem to exist in a fantasy
but yet they were so true

like scattered glass is how my heart felt
when you told me 'sorry babe there is someone else'
my dreams were broken till below the belt
like scattered glass is how my heart felt

sacrifices had to be made
to form me
the best me i could be

trough tears and pain
i found my way
for a perfect life
here to stay

I made it trough
Im whole again
and that feeling i had is gone
just a once upon a broken dream
