Once Upon A Time (Sonnet #54) Poem by Tina Baaklini

Once Upon A Time (Sonnet #54)

Once upon a time there was you and I
You were my world, the only one I knew
Our hearts shared root, my sun shone in your eyes
Divine was our love, so scarce, so true

Once upon a time conveys a far date
Yet the imprints of love never expire
Your love dwells at my heart's shrine, O soulmate
You're the one my soul looks for, enquires

We're back together, forever this time
Love calls our hearts and souls, here and above
Love's energy unites us back, entwined
Within one heart, our endless abode

Your heart beats within mine at each moment
So tender, caring — a heart of diamond
