One Crow Stands Alone Poem by Stephanie Boccia

One Crow Stands Alone

One crow stands alone.
Its family flew,
When no one knew,
Shivering loss to the bone.

One crow stands alone.
It's family failed,
When he prevailed.
Mastering faces of pure stone.

One crow stands alone.
The day they left,
Went through the chest,
A bullet had been blown.

One crow stands alone.
Not puzzled or staggered,
But not overt otherwise.
The wretched deed had been known.

One crow stands alone.
They raised him,
Helped him,
Watched him grow.
But no love ever shown.

One crow stands alone.
Angry, depressed,
Disappointed and cross.
Feels as if thrown like a bone.

One crow stands alone.
No contact,
No care,
Forgotten and wears,
The hat of the shameful cone.
