One Day Poem by Lauren Harper

One Day

What you don't hear.
What you don't see.
What you don't know.

You ask what.
You ask why.
You ask who.

Little girl you are blind.
You are too innocent girl.
How can you not see the madness of this world.

Those around you hurt.
They wallow around in pain.
Can you not see the stain of tears on their face.

Do you chose to not accept what is.
Or girl do you not see the truth of this wretched world.
One day you will see.

But for now,
Be happy girl.
For you do not know the truth that I have seen.

I have hidden the past of me.
As for you,
One day your wildest nightmare will come true.

All that you once knew; will fade.
Your heart will be crushed.
And your memories, will continuously replay.
