One Day I Will Die/ And Never Write Another Word Poem by Shalom Freedman

One Day I Will Die/ And Never Write Another Word

One day I will die
And never write another word
And never worry about not writing another word
And never think about whether or not my writing means anything
One day I will not think about writing at all
And what I have done with it
And why it means much to me
One day I will not be able to think about writing at all
And all this worry and effort now
Will be for what it is
Without me.
