One Day You Will Leave Poem by Shahid H Khan

One Day You Will Leave

How do I make me believe
That one day you will leave,
And I shall be on my own;
Deserted, dejected, alone.

You have dreams in your eyes
Of new shores; of new highs,
I can only wish you well,
All your dreams may you dwell!

But the moments we spent together,
Will make my sole treasure;
And I shall be in Their company,
If I embark in search of pleasure.
