One Friendship Poem by Samantha chapman

One Friendship

The first night we talked and drank till we slept,
Our friendship was sealed in one simple step,
They left us and laughed then faded away,
Our friendship has flourished with each passing day.

We lean on each other for comfort from the pain,
Conversations are heard with not one spoken word,
Silences that shouts louder that any human voice,
This friendship of ours on longer a choice.

You fixed my sole and my broken heart,
I picked you all up when you had fallen apart,
I’ll lend you my hands and always be there,
You encourage and console always willing to share.

You know what I’m thinking no need to say,
I see what your feeling it’s better that way,
If we don’t speak for many long months,
One phone call away makes it feel like just one day.

We well never be lonely now we have this beautiful gift,
Friendship so intimate Love so platonic,
True friendship they say will stand the tests of time,
This one is … so let’s see.
