Wandering the street on a busy evening,
Stalking random for I had nothing going.
Came across I, a horde down the street,
Wrestling each other for better feet.
Circus by gypsies from the north,
Or speech of wise from the south.
Through the crowd I weaved to the fore,
To get a better gawk at the lure.
Enthusiasm I had went down the drain,
Grief and disgust struck me in the brain.
On the road laid a boy of some,
With blood gushing out his dome.
Helped him out of sympathy but none,
For we can be good to self else none.
Where did the creator go wrong, I wondered?
The future of the race I pondered.
Struck as I walked the crowd past,
For who was I from rest to contrast.
