One Knee Down Poem by Adebayo Tajudeen

One Knee Down

In the hollow of a shapeless vacuum
suffice only to turn cyclical
where the preoccupation is
eat, play and swim
nourish and circumambulate!

Till the appointed time
If all goes well, neonatal cry triumph
if all goes wrong burial follows
O! No other time but now.
One kneel down

to herald the newest member
With a cry of arrival
congrats! Rents the air
all desires to catch a glimpse
