One Mans War Poem by Damian Cranney

One Mans War

Rating: 5.0

This War Should End

The Lubianka doors clanged loudly,
As the soldier turned the key,
young Putin Strode out proudly,
he had just joined the KGB.

On his way to destiny,
and all the many deaths,
Do you think he would know,
would anyone guess

That, we all will die,
because of him,
And know, he couldn't care less
His humanity replaced, by personal success.

Ukraine our hearts bleed for you,
We feel your loss and pain,
We acknowledge that, we should be there.
Fighting by your side not letting Putin gain.

Who would have thought that in this human time,
When history tells us, what a war will do,
Some one with short term gain will risk,
Ten billion human souls, to fulfill his wish.

Putin we call upon you,
To stop this carnage now,
Or is your heart so callous,
Or is your soul so dead.

Or is it, that your pride won't let you,
‘Say you were not right, '
Do not worry, right is might,
And that young mother with her kids,

Will thank you forever,
Come on do it, end this disgusting fight
You always put yourself in front, others never,
Stopping this war is the only claim that's clever.
