One Night Poem by Jose' Antonio Orellana Artolozaga

One Night

Rating: 5.0

one night—
she held her intent to
my ear like a trilling violin
vibrating a tremble.
i’d just kissed her goodnight
and her shade of glow
lingered o’er me like a
night afire.
i thought I’d found sate
to sleep but the
narcotic stalked me
and i lay at her
gaping nude-ness
lifting in a wrap of
naif tissue,
potency I’d tasted
with my lips’ crazed flitting
of obsessed tongue
as she raised her devouring
in mantid prayer
