One Night Longer Poem by Guilherme Mariano Martins da Silva

One Night Longer

Sweet Sheherazade sings a song
for a young celibate sir.
So lovely and long
her velvet tongue
that a fish flies from his drool.

The poor young man forgets
any dreams he had about god
or gold.
For now he fully understands
the Vizier's lushful hoard.
