One Summer Night Poem by John Michael Elritz Gallo

One Summer Night

Teardrops wasted
Unfelt mouth water overflowing
Silent noise of the cry
The blanket now damp

Raindrops pouring
Strong to the ears, calming to the eyes
The sky in sympathy
There was one li’l star
