One Year Poem by Cody A. Buckmaster

One Year

I sit here drifting away
My mind starting to decay
Quickly growing near
Going to be a year

Always in our buisness
We've made the distance
Moved across the state
Because of her hate

We've made it through the storms
Even crossed the swarms
She isn't being just
Who all can we trust

Been betrayed
But some friends have stayed
There have always been three
All hated by Lee

We are the stars of this show
forced to go with the flow
This is a love story
Will they reach glory

They love each other
but will there be another?
Is it just high school
Or is there a better rule?

Will they always miss
Or will they get through this
This is a hard case
But I will find a way to see your face

I love how you are
Just like a star
We had 'the incident'
That turned out to be an accident

You've always been there for me
And now I can see
You've never been abandoning
You are my everything
