Online Love Poem by DiAnne Douglass

Online Love

Rating: 3.5

What is fake, what is real?
Is this really how I feel?
How to know, just what to say
Why do you make me feel this way?

I'm sorry but this just cannot be!
You're not real, why can't I see?
You're a trickster and a hoax.
This is all no more than a joke.

Online love, it cannot be
Is it really only me?
Am I talking to myself?
You're as real as an elf

All this I know to be true
But no matter what I say
I'll apologize for the delay
But I still love you

My online love, it can't be true
Can I really be in love with you?
And even though this may be fake as can be
Will you also say you love me?

Online love, how can it be?
You were always meant for me
And I for you, this much is true
I so dearly do love you
