Only A Tree



Giver of free fruit, divine food
Protecting from heat of the sun
Giving homes to birds and squirrels
Giving ladders to raccoons
And trellises to climbing vines
Through evaporation creating rain
Turning carbon dioxide into oxygen
Making coconut husk cups
Replenishing Mother Earth with
fallen leaves
Inspiring watercolorists
