Only If Poem by Shivi Gupta

Only If

Living in the fast lane,
Feeding in and Bleeding out.
Searching for reasons to live.
Ambition running dry.

Failure becoming a recurring visitor,
Striving and not reaching 'it'.
toiling carelessly to fake 'it'.
The immovable spirit - catered.

Dreams going out the window,
May be that is why its called a window pane.
Falling into the rain of pain.
Would you catch and throw?

Then was an easy day,
Now its the hell highway.
The stack of achievements,
The weak foundation shaking.

The last man standing,
Or rolling in celebration,
The average guy in the competition,
Bear the fear of losing.

What you do in real life,
Echoes in eternity.
You have to stand tall
Be inspired by the walls.

When you can,
And if you can,
Possess the perseverance,
The world will bow to you, my man.
