A flower once told me, love me, love me not?
Love you not, I said, and the flower died
A bird once sang to me, love-love-love
I said, no-not-me, and the bird flew away
A tree once begged to me, take my red fruit of love
Poison me, you dare? To me? I think not.
And the tree became a stump
I have only a love to thee-
As far and deep as sea may be.
Nothing dare take me away
For us to love, another day.
