open you're eyes
I can see it go flashing by
watching it all go numb inside
I'm losing heart
holding tight to something so fake
hoping that it will never break

I wish you could see
all the things that could never be
I wish you would feel
every pain and every tear
consumed wholly by fear
this is no nightmare, it's real

walking in an invisible life
being killed by a deadly knife
bleeding deep down inside
I want you to save me
stop me from falling farther
i'm holding myself together

Memories seem to escape you
can't tell between false and true
Have you lost it all?
my world came crashing down
Is there nowhere else to go?
drowning in the river with the flow

There's nothing more
You don't remember me anymore
I just walk in but don't see
in the mirror, the reflection of me
Having faded away to nothing
Desperately wanting something

So, open my eyes
Tears dripping in silent cries
wiping it away with bloody hands
keeping it on deep wounds
I wish you could see
all the things that could never be
