Open Your Eyes Poem by Silence Dogood

Open Your Eyes

Rating: 5.0

You look at her.
Think you know everything.
Wash away the guilt.
With the hands of uncertainty

Open your eyes.
And let mercy come.
See the world.
For what it has become.

Look around you.
At the sorrow struck faces.
Pretending a smile.
In the worst of all places.

Wipe away the mask.
Throw away all the lies.
Stop pretending.
Open your eyes.

Theres a world out there.
Full of people to kill.
Rapists and murderers.
Past the window sil.

Your living in a life.
Where all you do is pretend.
Faking a smile.
While dining with your friends.

You work in a buisness.
Full of inconsequent deciet.
Thinking nothing wrong.
While you crumple in defeat.

The world isnt perfect.
Neither is this girl.
She isnt full of lies.
In a material world.

You dont know everything.
All you do is hide.
A magicians trick.
Open your eyes.

Very aptly put. Nicely written and really poignant. Keep it up!
