When we open our eyes,
We can see all the lies,
The ones we despise,
The things we deny,
The things we hate,
The one little date,
We gave them the bait,
To win the long wait,
We sent them away,
What did we say,
I knew we would pay,
For that one lonely day,
That was the light,
That started the fight,
And lasted the night.
Victoria, a poem of an affair gone wrong through outside influences. Very well done. Top marks and thanks for sharing it with us. Hugs David
