Optimistic Poem by Ackroy Lashley

Optimistic

Could I be unrealistic for wanting a better future?
Maybe I'm just simplistic
Having noticed my linguistic behavior
A realistic system of thought invaded my brain
Thinking of my prospective makes me pessimistic
Caught up in a materialist world
With swirled feelings
My ambitions have surpassed the ceiling
Imaging the dealings of mankind
Do not get caught behind; get on your grind
Time waits for no one
Like a sublime beauty in the night
This anticipation of our timorrow
Don't let it be in sorrow
