Or Orange Poem by R.J. Bevans

Or Orange

Rating: 4.5

A color I would formerly never dare
To bring home, to look-see, to question stare,
To appreciate and not explain;
To recognize desire.

I preferred the indeterminate color of my dreams
But in the practical sense I’ve been inspired
By you and your color- your Orange appeal;
Your health and sweetness.

And to say just rational reasons are
The main and only is ten times afar
From the truth that knows
You had my heart.

‘Twas your Orange pleasantries
I knew and no longer know,
The flight of joyful Yellow to
Red’s constant fervid glow.
