Orange Crumbs Of A Starlight Muffin

Rating: 4.0

The little piece of moon I had eaten last night,
That orange crumb is stuck between my eyes.
I cannot shake it off
I cannot remember what dream I had slept last night
Only little fireflies stuck in foliage
...Of unicorn eyed frogs playing hopscotch
...Of unheard tunes caught in invisible nets of night
...Of sleeping with all my senses alive
And that giant moon in orange foil
Teasing me with curtains of cloud
Before it could slip out of my reach...
I had jumped past the muffin clouds.

That little piece of moon I had stolen last night
That orange crumb is stuck between my eyes.
Morning's bustle has sent the fireflies in cobweb closets
The muffin thief sighs at sunshine...
