Orb Of Life Poem by Edith Oram

Orb Of Life

Rating: 1.5

Bright shafts of sunlight pierce through cloudy sky
White knights on chargers speeding to planet earth
Pulsating sunbeams assault our eyes
Warming our hearts to a brand new day's birth.
Dark sylvan shapes sharply etch brilliant light,
Like leafy lace curtains viewed in reverse.
Hope stirs within that the day ahead might
Flow with beauty as music well rehearsed.
Breeze parts leaves, sun flickers, starlike, through space,
Steadily climbing stairways through heavens,
Nourishing dreams, quenching fears, slowing pace.
Live your life full of joy. Count to seven.
Seven days each week, each twenty four hours,
Sift through tangled weeds to find life's flowers.
