Orchid Prince Poem by Kayt Krepcho

Orchid Prince

Orchid prince,
In the morning on your doorstep
I called your name.
Where are you hiding?

Caspian, have I lost you?
This ship is sailing unchartered waters.
Seaweed god,
Your voice came to me from a distant shore.
You foamed up on the crest of waves.

Grizzly man,
Perched precariously on the edge
Of the great canyon of my dreams.
The vine of your smile encircles me.
The banner of your love comes
Crashing down, like the meteor that brought you to me.

I have found you,
I have lost you, again.
I have touched you and
You say I deserve better,
You say, you say.
Does that mean I can’t have anything?
Anything at all?
