Orimili Poem by Chukwuma Adione

Orimili

call me by my name
when you know my design
incline your ears closely
when am pondering out loud
when i whisper to the atmosphere
all heavens are familiar
even the earth must have heard enough
the name that was once a mystery
only existing in the dark
known only to God and his spirit
but now that light has come
i am yet to call it enough
now i know my name, am shouting it
let it be heard and the returning echoes
speak with clarity and truth
'ORIMILI! ! ! ORIMILI! ! ! ORIMILI! ! !
