Oskar (From The Movie Let The Right One In) Poem by Alexander Foald

Oskar (From The Movie Let The Right One In)

I am the king of the world
I am the ultraviolet of the sun
I am the enigma inside of a soul
And the wisdom of a visionary man

Squeak like a pig, shake like a cow
Offer me your lips, never let me down
Just because I can’t be ageless and live longer
Doesn’t mean our fate cannot collide with each other

Oh god and the devil, those who stand between me and her
Why don’t you just take my life instead of hers?
String those cold beads of blood on to the cord of spineless dream
Make me suffer as well, for it is unfair for only taking without giving

She loves me in the way love is meant to be
I love her in the way life cannot let us free
Of all the things that happen for a reason,
She’s the only cause for my inexplicable passion
