there is
one kind of a thing
that you really
like to do
with all eagerness
and gusto,
before, yes before
doing it, but when
done,

and you stand up
and think with all your
mind,
you regret doing,
and when you think
some more,
you vomit.

and you think some
more, and
you rationalize,
well, this is what
humanity is all about.

it is all about
before and after,
this kind of love
and regret,
this kind of wanting to do,
doing it,
and having done it,
you accept that you did
not like it,
but it was done and
there is nothing to be
done about it anymore.

this verb, this noun,
this present and past,
and the future
dizziness, nostalgia
and vertigo, all mixed
like a salad of green leaves
and peas
and olives in one bowl
wet with vinegar and
sprinkles of salt.
