Our Children In Haiti Poem by Nicki Faith

Our Children In Haiti

Rating: 5.0

The weight on my shoulders is so heavy
For the children who are suffering in Haiti
Who look to the world to see what it can do
But if you look real close they're looking at you

They suffer everyday, in what we call 'paradise'
We've known that for years, and never looked twice
AIDs, neglect, starvation, and earthquake
Destroying these young lives already at stake

We can't stop the ground from all this trembling
Or stop the hurrican winds from disassembling
But a child can be, some one we see
Who needs our help now, to set its soul free
