memories are all we'll
have in the end
in the beginning we
had a dream of life

it appeared that our
life could be together
now it is time for
family recognition


we have both wanted something
that was never ours to have
our words of love lifted
the other's heart


but the sad truth is we
never had the right to share it
He is a good man and
she is a loving woman


What was can never be
so let the guilt go
rejoice in the future
with friends and family


We are blessed with
so many who love us
now it is time to let go and
live the life we have chosen


these words must never be
spoken but for the last time
know that I love and adore you


this must be our last
