Our Perfect Love Poem by Anna Wimbley

Our Perfect Love

Rating: 5.0

I looked upon your cold pale face
You are so ill but have such grace
Hush my love, don't try to speak
It's kicking in, your getting weak
There is no way I'd leave your side
And there's a way you won't leave mine
For crushed up hemlock in your drink
Is all I need to plant the seed
I brush your face and see a tear
Tears of joy? I hope so dear
I love you babe, now rest your head
You cannot end us if your dead
How is it that you cannot see
This is relief, our love is free
There is no way that it can die
We have won! We've stolen time
You'll send me love from up above
Because of this, our perfect love.
