Our Pop Stars

By Xiaoguang Li(China)
Translated by Bangxue Zheng (China)

A singer on a stage of art
Watches a giant wounded bird flying overhead
He gets his own sky
By virtue of the tweets he heard

The singer takes off as a star amid his songs
Never have we seen him coming to tears before the lights
But always seen a string of songs full of passion for life
Around him

There are various stages in the world
One by one, pop stars emerge for being excellent
Some people cry and sing all their lives
Some people singing all their lives want nothing but to cry
We aren't the ones without a mellow voice
Nor we are those who don't know the types of songs
We actually only sing songs that are heartfelt
And therefore far better than those of pop stars
