Our True Love Poem by Natarajan Ramaseshan

Our True Love

Men and women die of old age
Flowers wither with time's passage
Words lose their meanings with usage
But constant is our love's message

Ancient kingdoms are found no more
Kings and queens have become folk-lore
Power and fame turn very sour
But our true love will great heights soar

Brooks and rivers alter courses
Hills and oceans change their places
Forests vanish with no traces
But our true love won't change faces

Sun may burn out, stars fade away
Moon and planets and milky way
Leave their paths and then go astray
But our true love is here to stay

Let's enjoy this very moment
True love's meaning we shall invent
Nothing small or big can prevent
Our true love and its strong intent
