Our Wedding Prayer - Poem by Audrey Wilson

As our lives are bound together
On this, our Wedding Day
Let us show our love for each other
Every day along the way.

Lord, help us walk as one in your love
And put you first in all we do
Then our prayers will not be hindered
And we will keep our faith in You.

Help us to be open with each other
And not offend with words we say
For words are sharper than a dagger
Let us bow our knees and pray.

We must be considerate of one another
And make sure that all is right
If one has offended the other
Help us apologize before we go to bed that night.

May our home reflect your love, Lord
So friends and neighbors always see
The Love of God always abounding
In the lives of you and me.
