Our World Poem by Tina Baaklini

Our World

My love,

When I was a kid
I used to admire the mighty
Mountain standing at my sight,
Thinking: beyond those mountains,
A different world must exist.

Growing up, I enjoyed gazing
At the sea's horizon thinking:
Beyond the vast and deep sea,
A different world must exist.

Later in life, I was mesmerised
By the sky's beauty, by its clouds,
Moon and stars thinking:
Beyond the endless sky,
A different world must exist.

Then when I met you sweet love
When I felt that our hearts are one
When I felt your heart beating in mine
When I felt your love so divine
I touched my chest thinking:
Beyond my limbs, here in my heart
A different world must exist -
And that's our world, tender soulmate -
