Out Of The Mire (I'M More Than Just An Illness!) - Poem by Barry Pook
Just a coffee and a chat,
About our this and that,
Those around us do not care,
But we are well aware.
Perhaps a change is now needed,
Despite what we are heeded,
Get away from the total mindset,
Forget all the self regret.
Suggesting a chance to break away,
Refreshing pastimes in the day,
Not being at all stigmatic,
Doing things that make us tick.
Around others clear of mind,
Help us leave it all behind,
Tomorrow is another day,
We cheerfully start, come what may.
