Outbreak Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Outbreak

When, city-streets
Roads and bazaars
The rural villages
Erupt into action
Awareness driven
Masses-
Manage to hold
Becoming
Significant instrument
For the over-all change.
Sometimes peaceful,
Worst of the times-
Coercive or bloody
Raising its ugly head.

Regardless
Non-violent ethics
Preparing a ground
For its success.
Following a pattern
Fresh and spicy
A whip of delight
Nothing fishy about it.

A style
Over latest style
Branded freak
And street smart
Mostly chic
At times glamorous
Sparingly sporty
Connecting into
Several causes.

Helping
The people in need
All is set to put
Upside down
And downside up.
But-
A fuel for appetite
Black and white
Cracking in
The vested interest
Influencing
The National tales.

A man with a mission
Coming out-
At such a stage
To the highest office
Leading the masses
In multiple directions.
Like ‘KRISHANA'
From Indian myths
Collecting the cows
From the meadows
Playing a unique tune
On magic flute.

Thus, riding the wave
To a reasonable crave
Following behind
A large mob-
Brushing the fate
With multi-colours
Not even a single drop
Drop of red or black.
