Over The Horizon _V2lif Poem by William McGehee

Over The Horizon _V2lif

On the horizon far beyond
The waking moment, the dusk, the dawn
Lies the unknown future looming
Creeping nearer, Time consuming
And Time escaping fast behind
Into mem'ry out from the mind.

But mem'ry fades and loses luster
And the only hope there is to muster
Lies unknown beyond our vision
And we place our hope's provision
Far, on the echoes of eternity
Casting shadows of uncertainty.

So trapped are we and forced to ponder
On the future, full of wonder.
Left to wrangle fate or sever
Pain and joy from each endevor.
