Overeating. Poem by Peach .

Overeating.

Fatigued, I sit,
Half 'wake, half asleep,
Stuck inside this pit-
Of misery, so deep.

From sleep I'd awoke,
Certain the chains were no more,
'Gone is the burdensome yoke! '
That always left me sored.

Not an ounce of hunger,
Was present in these veins.
So, why? I wonder..
Did food call my name?

What was I upset about?
That needed to be addressed.
My mind produced no answer,
Thoughts rushing to food instead.

Self control, I failed to regain,
Blinded by emotion.
Left with a heart, worthless and ashamed.
Food was everything but the solution.

Overeating.
