Overnight - Poem by Kennedy Phadima

Night falls nothing gets better
I cannot slumber
where is my strength
when I`m not strong
no time to wonder
I got to get home
clock strikes midnight
darkness is getting thiker
Its like a tunnel without light
that seems to be getting deeper

It`s as quiet as graveyard
I am immune to the cold
A chill blows into my face
but i remain bold
I breath heavily with exhaustion
but giving up is beyond my reach
just as far as
my point of reach
I looked up
but could not see the stars
wishing to find hope
All i got to do is cope

I wish these life was a dream
for in a dream you get to wake up
when the worst is here
But the difference between
dreams and reality
is purely desire
My desire to break free
of these struggle
to arrive home and enjoy
the luxury of my success.
