P.O.W. Poem by Victor Osorio

P.O.W.

Rating: 4.5

Silently I move around
Looking for that one sign
An object, a place, or a person
That could help me escape
This prison is unbreakable
This good heart quietly cries
No sin is payable
Faith will bring peace only in death
That's the one sin I can't do
I'm a prisoner, not a murderer
My time is unknown
These walls are invisible bricks
Unsheltered--no window, no phone
A prsioner of this world
An artist of my words
So maybe I should sing out loud
That's how I'll spread the love
and if it's strong enough
I could find my way out.
